What does a SWIFT/BIC code look like?
A SWIFT/BIC code has 8 or 11 characters arranged in the order AAAABBCCDDD:
The first 4 characters are letters that identify the bank
The next 2 characters are letters that indicate the country the bank is in
The next 2 characters can be letters or numbers and identify the bank’s head office
The last 3 characters are optional and indicate a specific branch
Where can I find a SWIFT/BIC code?
If you are sending funds, ask the recipient to provide account details from their bank, including the required SWIFT/BIC code or IBAN. If you are receiving funds:
Login to the Xapo Bank app
Select the Wallet tab
Select your US Dollars account
Click on Receive, then select the country you want to receive funds from
The account details that are unique to you will be displayed on the screen, including appropriate codes.
